Volta Region’s Isabella Etornam Crowned Ghana’s Most Beautiful 2025
Isabella Etornam Gagblezu, the 30-year-old representative of the Volta Region, has been crowned Ghana’s Most Beautiful 2025, taking home the coveted crown, cash prize, car, and national bragging rights.
Her brilliant performance, eloquent response to her final question, and overwhelming public votes gave her the edge over fellow finalists Asakia, Sika, Nana, and Adjorkor.
Born in Yeji, Etornam’s early life was one of hardship and perseverance. Raised in a broken home, she endured abuse, stigma, and the harsh realities of street life including hawking and working as a “trotro mate” to survive.
Despite these challenges, she refused to let her circumstances define her. With unwavering determination, Etornam pursued education at Adidome Senior High School and later at the Oxford Institute of Business and Journalism in Kumasi, where she nurtured her passion for communication and community development.
Etornam’s journey through the 2025 GMB competition was nothing short of exceptional. She clinched six awards and twelve nominations, making her the most decorated contestant in the competition’s history.
She also won the Star Performer and Best Costume awards during the semi-finals a feat that mirrors past winners Makafui (2024) and Selorm (2023).
Etornam becomes the third winner from the Volta Region, following Emefa (2012) and Selorm (2023), cementing the region’s reputation for producing talented, eloquent, and culturally grounded queens.
With the crown comes responsibility and Etornam intends to channel her influence into her Early Child Education Project. The initiative seeks to ensure that every Ghanaian child, regardless of background or location, has access to quality education.
She has called on government, corporate bodies, and individuals to support the cause, emphasizing that education remains the foundation for social mobility and national development.
The grand finale, held at the National Theatre in Accra, was a vibrant display of beauty, eloquence, and cultural pride, as finalists showcased their regional heritage through captivating performances, storytelling, and poise.
Etornam’s win was met with thunderous applause, tears of joy, and celebration across the Volta Region a reminder that perseverance, purpose, and passion truly pay off.
