J.A. Plant Pool Denies $2 Million Overpayment Allegations

Accra, Ghana — Construction firm J.A. Plant Pool has strongly refuted recent allegations claiming it received a $2 million overpayment from the state. The company described the report as “misleading and factually inaccurate,” clarifying that the matter in question stemmed from a documentation discrepancy originating from the Public Procurement Authority (PPA) rather than any financial misconduct.

In an official statement, J.A. Plant Pool explained that while there were administrative inconsistencies in the supporting paperwork, an internal audit and reconciliation process confirmed that no excess payment was ever made to the company. The firm added that it is working closely with the PPA and other government agencies to rectify the documentation issue and clear its name. “We remain committed to transparency, compliance, and integrity in all contractual engagements with the Government of Ghana,” the statement noted.

The company’s response comes at a time when public scrutiny over government contracts and procurement practices is at an all-time high. J.A. Plant Pool reassured stakeholders, partners, and the public that it continues to adhere strictly to procurement laws and due diligence procedures in all its operations.
